- **Client:** JS Investments Limited, Karachi, Pakistan
- **Industry:** Asset management and mutual funds
- **Product:** Investor mobile app (Android and iOS) and admin portal
- **Technology:** React Native, Node.js

## In short

- FetchSky designed and built the JS Investments investor app (Android and iOS) and its admin portal.
- The JS Investments app is built in React Native with a Node.js back office.

## Overview

JS Investments wanted to make mutual fund investing simple and accessible to everyday Pakistanis. FetchSky designed and built a mobile app for investors, along with an admin portal that lets the JS Investments team manage users, funds, content and notifications.

## The challenge

For many people, mutual funds feel complicated. Opening an account means paperwork, and choosing the right fund means decoding unfamiliar terms. JS Investments needed an app that could:

- Remove friction from onboarding so new investors can sign up from their phone.
- Guide first-time investors towards funds that suit their goals and comfort with risk.
- Serve every kind of investor, including those who want Shariah-compliant products.
- Give the business control over funds, content and communication without depending on developers.

## What did we build?

- The investor app — **Quick, secure sign-up:** Investors scan their CNIC, confirm their details and mobile number, select a dividend mandate and verify with an OTP. Fingerprint login makes return visits easy.
- The investor app — **Conventional and Shariah-compliant funds:** Browsable lists with search, sort and filters, and detailed pages for each fund, with an option to apply directly.
- The investor app — **Invest, convert and redeem:** Investors can buy units, switch between funds and redeem from their home screen, with OTP confirmation for added security.
- The investor app — **Clear portfolio view:** The home screen shows total investment and a summary, with activity history and statements that can be generated by month, date range or fund.
- The investor app — **Goal planning:** Users can plan around a financial goal or a regular contribution, and see projected results based on investment amount, period and expected return.
- The investor app — **Risk profile and recommendations:** A short questionnaire suggests funds that match the investor's risk appetite.
- The investor app — **Calculators and reports:** Tax rebate and performance calculators, plus fund performance reports to compare options.
- The admin portal — **Dashboard:** Key statistics and performance charts.
- The admin portal — **User management:** Searchable customer lists, profiles and role-based access.
- The admin portal — **Investment management:** Add, update or remove the fund options shown in the app.
- The admin portal — **Content management:** FAQs and terms and conditions.
- The admin portal — **Notification management:** Create and send alerts and triggers to users.

## How we built it

We followed an agile process, with a single React Native codebase serving both Android and iOS and a Node.js back office for the portal. FetchSky also handled design, testing and publishing to the app stores.

## Outcome

JS Investments now has a modern digital channel where people can go from curiosity to investing in one app, and a portal that puts the business in control of its funds, content and customer communication.

## Outcomes

- Time from download to first investment: Minutes, in the app.
